THERAPY DOGS

At our school, we are committed to supporting the well-being of everyone—academically, socially, and emotionally. One of the ways we do this is through the use of therapy dogs. Our two therapy dogs, Moli and Mya, are friendly and gentle cockapoos who play an important role in creating a calm, welcoming, and supportive environment.

Therapy dogs can help reduce stress and anxiety, improve mood, and encourage positive social interactions. Many children (and staff) find comfort in spending time with a dog, whether it’s reading aloud to them, sitting quietly during a break, or visiting during a challenging moment in the school day. Their presence helps us feel more relaxed and ready to learn.

Moli and Mya visit classrooms, support small-group activities, and often assist children who may benefit from emotional regulation or simply a moment of comfort. As trained therapy dogs, they bring warmth, confidence, and joy to our school community.

By incorporating therapy dogs into our daily routines, we aim to nurture a positive school atmosphere where every child feels supported, valued, and ready to succeed.
